The climate movement needs more hands on deck. Rather than a few people trying to do everything, we need millions of people doing something. Choose an area that interests you, find a community, and get involved!
Disclaimer: This is just a quick list we pulled together to help you find a climate community. While Climate Club NZ has collaborated with many of these groups, we don’t necessarily endorse the views of every organisation listed here, or keep up with everything they say. We hope it’s helpful, feel free to share!

How to get started
To help out, go to their contact page or social media, send them an email/message introducing yourself, and see what happens. Note that many of these orgs are volunteer driven, and might not have all the resources and training you might expect. It might take some initiative & perseverance, but this is the challenge and opportunity of grassroots movements though. Doing it with a friend helps a lot! Climate action as part of a community is rewarding and fulfilling, and it’s also one of the best antidotes to climate anxiety.
“I am only one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”
― Edward Everett Hale
