Hi good people ! I particularly like your bit on influencing, which, back in the day we were taught "lead by example". A message received in various formats over 7n decades, ..... helps one to pull back from the brink. My fave shot is "Better to be an Example than a Warning" (Pass it on).

PS:- Maurice's substack goes live approx midnite tonite. Peace, Maurice

Hi Maurice! How exciting that your substack goes live so soon. Are you writing from New Zealand? I like the idea of being an example rather than a warning :)

That social effect is so true! I started using a plate from work or reusable container at the sushi place downstairs a couple of years back and so many people have commented on it and many have started doing the same. Not just at the sushi place but at the cafe next door as well who do hot meals. It’s cool to know that the same thing can happen with bigger solutions that can have more impact as well.

I love that Sarah! And I am also a big fan of walking down streets with a plate of sushi 😃 I found it so affirming to read about how just taking visible climate actions can make a big difference, all the way from the bigger solutions down to things we might not even notice. Have you had a chance to try out other climate actions?

Hallo Dhanya, thanks for liking. My origins are with the original Visigoths, who eventually settled in Nigeria, Much later they became part of the Norman invasion of England. I was raised in Yorkshire. Have Irish, Dutch, Indian and Iranian Kids. I have cousins in the US, OZ & NZ.

Three years ago I decided to exit Brexit and now live in Old Zeeland NL near my Grandkids.

I have a passion for historic linguistic connections, and for helping to heal our world. All of which will be in my substack development.

That's me, now what about you, your passions, origin of your name (which I think has Sumerian roots, possibly Sanskrit........). Peace Maurice

That's lovely, thanks for sharing. I think my name possibly does have Sanskrit origins, but my mum just named me after a child she used to babysit. I also live here in Aotearoa! I hope the Substack premier goes well :)

Hi Dhanya, I've been researching ancient origins of names recently, and had read somewhere that Diana is derived from Sumerian or Sanskrit - Octet of Lakshmi. Actually I believe its possibly much older. Worth a deeper dig. Peace, Maurice

She's very inspiring! When I talked with her recently rechargeMolly was talking about the gift economy of nature. I'm hoping that she touches on this tomorrow night.

The "gift economy of nature" is an incredible phrase - I'm going to tuck that away to research!
