It'd be good to see MPs come together in cross-party groups so that we can avoid flip-flopping when government's change. Here's some details about such a thing from 2017 - not that long ago!
Hmmm, I'm not sure what the best way to do this is but I've got a couple of thoughts.
I saw this story yesterday about a
special cross-party inquiry into adapting to the increasingly severe weather of climate change. The idea was seeded by James Shaw days before the previous Parliament finished up. If there is widespread backing for this, it would get MPs in the same room. It'd have the advantage of expert testimony being heard on future scenarios.
There are several former MPs active in climate justice space who might have insights to share. I'm thinking of Catherine Delahunty and Kevin Hauge in particular.
More generally on making sense of the post election world, I see that Kōtare trust have a workshop this weekend on Post-election situational analysis and a collective look at ‘what is to be done?, and at an upcoming Fabian's seminar they're discussing what the election means for the left (14 Nov, Te Whanganui a Tara).

That would be amazing - it doesn't make sense for climate to be a partisan issue. Have you seen any good ways to push for this?
